Some business is promoting birding activities in our area and all of their posts are so obviously written by AI and with minimal/no proofreading. They deleted their latest post after some started asking questions, because they claimed people visit the region to watch cattle egrets, spectacled eiders, harlequin ducks, ross’s gulls, and thousands of steller’s eiders in all the harbors. There’s been one unverified observation of one cattle egret in a different municipality, two of spectacled eiders (and the last one from the 80s), there’s only one Ross gull a year observed and typically only for like one week, and the entire coastline had less than 500 steller’s eiders during the bird indexing this spring. :blobthinking:
