I read this book, Reincarnation Blues, where this society rehabs people by hugging them and reminding them of how to be a good person. Seems better than lethal injection

For those wondering: A botched execution doesn’t invalidate the underlying conviction, and a death warrant orders a completed execution, not a finite number of tries. She’s still in custody and technically still subject to another attemt. If I were her attorney I’d push to have her sentence commuted to life without parole, citing that her physical condition makes lethal injection extremely difficult, and that what’s she’s been put through constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. Speaking personally, in a civilized society, we’d be as horrified at what’s been done to her as we are at what she actually did. Don’t care to argue with anyone about that, that’s just how I see it.
