So, the "good" news is that it sounds like it *was* an Amazon drone.
The *bad* news is that this still means there are large drones buzzing all over suburbia with the ability to hover outside your bedroom window & spy on you (or at the very least freak you out).

To be clear: I don't know that it was actually "looking" in the window, just that it was hovering directly outside of it. But it *could* have been, and even if it wasn't, imagine if you were asleep, getting showered, etc. when this 5-ft wide machine suddenly just appears outside your window!
