Well fun thing. I bought a cheap HP Photosmart at a thrift store that didn’t have a power cord. The Ink was cheap as hell and still available on amazon. Another $15 or so. The Power adapter was $12. Had to boot up and clean install an old MacBook Air to Catalina because the drivers aren’t available anymore which meant no color printing via the default drivers. I was going to just share it as a print server. Got that done and then boom the cartridge head now doesn’t recognize the black ink. Like legit I didn’t even do anything it just died as soon as I got it installed on the MacBook Air. Oh and Handyprint (the old utility that emulated air print for your phone) doesn’t have activation servers anymore so my key doesn’t work even for that either. fuck this I’m buying a brother inkjet for this. I just want color printing, so my wife can print her embroidery designs lol.
