@spacehobo@teh.entar.net @ariadne@social.treehouse.systems doing this with a cluster of Pis makes business sense to run if people pay for the gimmick because at least the hardware is uniform and fungible. babysitting a huge cluster of disparate electronics that you don't fully understand and which is already reaching its end of life (if not past it) is a challenge only a complete masochist would appreciate

Over the long haul, disparate and aging hardware should still be put to use! And that requires thinking in terms of pets, not cattle.
