@samueljohnson@mstdn.social Yes I thought it was clear that my pity is for those who are stuck there.
As you can probably imagine, here in NZ we're one of the fantasy countries that rich USians want to bolt to. Our govt is not as blatantly fascist as their and will hopefully get booted at the next election.
However, what we don't need is a bunch of them bringing their cultural imperialism here.
