apollo 8 flew from dec 21 through the 27 back in 1968. it was the first crewed spacecraft to reach the moon. frank borman, jim lovell, and william anders orbited the moon ten times and then returned to earth. they were the first humans to see and photograph the far side of the moon and an "earthrise." i was born in 1965. since we're finally catching up to where we left off in the 60's... my new name is "doctor whoot" and i wear a weathered mac like sam spade and an owl helmet like hawkman.
