#Proton gives you 5 GB cloud storage for free. BUT with a caveat. You have to do 3 tasks in the first 30 days after the registration of your account: 1. Create a folder or upload a file 2. Create a shared link 3. Create a recovery method Now the thing is: if you start out with #mail you also have to make some tasks, but at first it’s not so clear that if you don’t complete them within 30days, you’re burned forever also, even if you start out with drive much later. No way you can get those 3GBs additionally for free. True story from the perspective of a small group of ppl. to switch from #Dropbox #GoogleDrive etc. I mean: WTF Proton!?

@TentinQuarantino Recently I had a similar experience but with different caveats. I created a new mail account for our band and one of the tasks was to import contacts/mail (or something like that, can't remember exactly anymore) from Gmail. But we didn't have a Google account to import from because we're just starting and this was our first mail account we created, so it was impossible to get that extra storage. 🙄
