I wanted to know if Claude Code could, in Rust, write a Petzold-style Notepad that has a few extra features (Markdown HTML preview tabs, a proof of concept direct screen reader abstraction). It made this today. It's bugged (You can't load MetalPad and immediately CTRL+n a second tab) and the bug will not be fixed. This is a proof of concept so I may vibe code bigger things later:

@jaybird110127@dragonscave.space @nick@hkc.social Hehehh, everyone's vibe coding something these days! Even if not a real project, still neat, will watch this one if it ever goes anywhere further maybe if you're ever bored and do improve it. There's a lot of these little projects now floating around my Hard drive, kind of remarkable :D Even the less technical have something vibe-coded that ends up being useful in one way or another these days.
