I created my YouTube channel as a dedicated home for my sim-racing content, specifically my POV footage from our Wednesday night league races. It complements the official league's Twitch broadcast by giving viewers a driver’s-eye perspective and a deeper look into the racecraft, strategy, and moments that don’t always make the main stream. I’m also building the channel as a way to attract potential sponsors for both myself and the team, as well as another outlet to promote our team goals and supported causes. Indie social platforms like Mastodon haven’t been taken seriously by companies looking for established reach, and YouTube is the lesser evil option that I feel the most comfortable with using. Growing a presence there gives me a better chance of showing sponsors real engagement and a clear value proposition, alongside promoting veganism. I'm still in the early stages of getting this rolling, but the core is there. I just need to work on fixing up the fancy bits and my inability to multitask.
