I found it much easier to tolerate the tedium that is April Fool’s Day before I became housebound. I was fortunate to work somewhere where most people weren’t burdened with an overinflated estimation of their own comedic talent and I could just stay off the internet. Now the internet is my only link to the outside world, so my choices are either a day of complete isolation or feeling like I’ve been trapped in the Ankh Morpork Fool’s Guild
