I’m beginning to come to the conclusion that the only sensible response to the emergence of ridiculous politics around trans people in restrooms is that everyone should just randomly use any gender restroom at any time until we grow out of this stuff as a society
We should not tolerate any restroom being unsafe, and the notion that the historical segregation of restrooms by gender confers some safety is dubious at best

@recursive@hachyderm.io As a teen, I watched Alley McBeal which famously had a single multi stall restroom for all the employees, and I thought this would be the future. Not the one where as a kid, I was chased into the restroom for "using the wrong one" by a hostess.
