@rauschma Even if Giannandrea pushed for better neural engines etc to bet on localAI it was the silicon team that actually executed on that. And on the AI research front, Apple has not executed well at all. Not just on cloud models, Apple’s local models suck too. Apple’s LLM models are terrible. The voice to text is OK still behind pretty much everyone else. The image models are so bad im surprised they even shipped them. Strategy means nothing if you cant execute.
