@raymaccarthy@mastodon.ie the models here displayed 'instrumental convergence', a property of sufficiently intelligeny beings (human or non-human) to pursue sub-goals, even if their ultimate goal is quite different. "Don't anthropomorphise" breaks any conversation we can have about alignment because "what do you mean I got hacked by matmul" @briankrebs@infosec.exchange
