I loved the #Oscars2026 this year. I cried three times; once from sadness, twice from joy. Seeing Golden performed in front of the biggest movie celebs in Hollywood, waving their lightsticks to the beat, and then seeing EJae win Best Original Song after knowing her whole back story… 🥹 it’s really emotional for me. When I moved home from South Korea, I felt like I couldn’t talk about the music and culture that had kept me overseas for three years, because nobody cared about kpop then. But then that ending with the Mr Beast reference… did anyone else interpret that as really dark humour and very much a critique of what they saw for the future?
