While tidying out a cupboard, I discovered that I still have thee boxes of author copies of books: the first and second edition of the Objective-C Phrasebook and the Cocoa Programming Developers Handbook. The first edition of the ObjC book and the Cocoa book cover pre-ARC Objective-C, but most of the examples still work (and now a lot will work with GNUstep or other open-source implementations of OpenStep / Cocoa). Does anyone have a sensible suggestion about what to do with them? Any schools or computer clubs have a need for a load of programming books? I assume charity shops don't especially want around 20 copies each of three books. Otherwise, I'll probably end up slowly distributing them among little free libraries. (Any friends of the Milton Road library: I see they have a book sale tomorrow, do they want to try selling some of them?) #Cambridge #Books
