@roadriverrail@signs.codes That *is* largely what I have been picking up from various podcasting hosts from over there too, but coming from the US, I am just...I guess traumatized? Into semi-paranoid preparation.

@agmlego@tacobelllabs.net I'm all about preparation and covering my bases. I stay ready so I don't have to get ready. At the same time, I can say that I average 1-2 weeks in the UK every year and I've seriously never had anything even close to a problem. Britons just really don't like to make a scene, so as long as your work site is supportive, you're likely going to be ok. Just stay streetwise and if you're at a pub and you see a dude looking glassy-eyed, go elsewhere.
