I once posited in a story that Easter is all wrong. When they came to arrest Jesus, Judas instead of pointing him out had a Spartacus moment, said he was Jesus and took his place. the real Jesus went into hiding for three days then appeared back from the 'dead', and later died by suicide hanging himself out of guilt for letting Judas take his place.

@Thebratdragon The Muslims believe that Jesus didn't actually die on the cross, but was swapped out for someone else at some point. One way to interpret that is that Simon of Cyrene was thrown under the bus

@Thebratdragon This has developed in my mind and gotten much darker Judas did nothing Jesus faked his death Jesus betrayed himself then picked his most faithful follower to pull the Spartacus and fall under the bus He retired from religion and took up carpentry (and whistling conscience free) with Joseph who had always been more present as a father anyway, Joseph and sons. His younger brothers had already said the company was great and the pension/hours/breaks were amazing
