@hexamander@infosec.exchange I have done that. I wait until after the first frost when the leaves have mostly died back. Trim the stems back to an inch or so above the crown. Transplant and cover with mulch (straw is ideal) leaving the crown exposed. In my experience they bear the following spring but tend to be about 3-4 weeks behind the ones that didn't get moved. I lose perhaps 1 in 15 transplants. I grow everbearing, not sure how this would affect June-bearing plants.
