I have had my share of scared calls with my children, but a near-drowning (or near-death or actual death) will hopefully never happen. As for the retards who couldn't get themselves to make a medical emergency services call, I think you can get these emergency service button pendants. You just press a button and it automatically calls the emergency services. No need to rely on anybody else to do it for you, while your hands are full. Of course, this was an extraordinary situation, so you probably won't need to call emergency services again any time soon, but the option is there. 🤷‍♂️ I hope you don't get into something like this again.
