Oh great... it's our old enemy again: Inflammation!
This does not bode well personally or for Dad, but does somewhat explain why I've had skin issues reoccurring in a few spots - e.g. the "stress patch" on my wrist that is always a reliable indicator of when I need to chill, eczema elbows, OR the sides of my ring finger flaring up occasionally following that time I got bitten by LOTs of tiny black mosquitoes/sandflies in Riccarton Bush holding out my phone to record ambient birdsong, only to get eaten alive, and then not being able to get home for 20-35 minutes (and past the "golden 10-15 mins for anthisan treatment). It's why I *always* carry a tube of the stuff now!
