@apicultor@hachyderm.io Unfortunately, there are comparatively few manufacturers still making new CPEs with ADSL2/VSDL modems, so we've got several years left of Zyxel kit getting deployed until OpenReach hurry up and finish their FTTP rollout.

@MrDOS@hachyderm.io Then ship a discrete DSL modem, aka ATMoPOTS-Ethernet bridge, and a router that doesn't suck. Plus, that way, when a customer gets a last-mile upgrade you just swap out the DSL modem for an ONT (or, better yet, a GPON/EPON SFP module), and all their setup stays untouched but the internet just magically gets faster.
