Many great European firms were taken over by non-European companies and closed. Acquisitions aimed at eliminating competitors are one of corporate strategies pursued by giants. EU has laws allowing to review M&A, but in most cases, this issue was overlooked. This is why laws need to be stricter and more efforts should be put into enforcement to protect European companies from takeovers having negative impact on Europe. #EU #Europe #eupol #competition #corporate
