So many videos on #YouTube are fucking unwatchable these days because words advertisers don't like are either replaced with the corporate newspeak Stephanie is talking about or cut out in the same way they would be beeped out in television, just instead of the beep the word is cut entirely.
I know getting a Youtube replacement rolling is a Herculean task for a plethora of reasons but how do even watchers put up with this?

@AimeeMaroux Easy solution - boycott YouTube vids. Its usefulness has long been compromised. When advertisers realize no one is seeing their stupid ads, it will change, you bet.

@AimeeMaroux As a viewer, that’s why I pay a yearly subscription to Nebula, and mostly don’t watch youtube anymore. Though it will not solve the general problem: it's not free so its appeal is limited, and for creators there is a barrier of entry
