At church on Sunday, during intercessory prayers, our minister prayed for "men, women, and others." I've had ministers before who've prayed for "all people everywhere" or similar, so as to not have to deal with other genders, but this is the first time I've had a minister who's publicly acknowledged head-on that there are human beings who identify as a gender other than "man" or "woman". My respect for her went up tenfold with that one phrase. #church #gender
