I wonder if the various marriage acts in India can be overridden or modified by signing a contract by the people marrying. For instance, Hindu marriage act currently doesn't support no fault divorce, I wonder if the people marrying can sign a contract that says they will agree to a no fault divorce. Will it be upheld in court later?

  • @redstarfish In France/USA I know one can do a prenup, which is a pre marriage agreement if you happen to divorce, it's truly better to do this before marriage as everyone is happy and you don't want to hurt over each other out of spite.

@redstarfish What's the rules for Catholics in India? Catholicism doesn't recognize divorce at all. #Catholic #Catholicism
