@Li@tech.lgbt That's true, copyright isn't a useful system for everyday people quite clearly, much like patents, as much as they are couched in the language of protecting the individuals contributions they instead only protect corporate interests.

@SphereSystem2@meow.lgbt copying media has no effect on you or anyone whatsoever, not buying your thing is the default state, if i dont buy it because its too expensive its the same too, if i buy a 'competing' product, you also dont make money, if i find a free alternative to your thing, you also dont make money, you dont loose anything from it, you just dont gain anything either, the whole fucking thing relies on some bs idea that your 'entitled' to my money or some shit for accessing it or something.. the same shit to claim copyright is stealing can also claim using GIMP instead of photoshop is stealing, but tbh adobe probably wants that but honestly im really tired of this idea of 'protection' of things, that relies entirely on compromising someone elses safety, and well-being, which is what this fucking is, i hate how the world so casually is just fine with commiting violence towards someone because they downloaded a fucking movie
