Some people say that space exploration is a waste of resources and that we should focus on issues here on Earth. Other people say that there is valuable science to be done and also, we should embrace the sense of wonder. I agree with both positions, which is why I say we should be studying the effect of shooting billionaires into the Sun...which would be wonderful.
