As someone vaguely old enough to remember some of the GWOT debate Hegseth and company are opening themselves up for real constitutional challenges on 1st amendment grounds if things are as bad as they seem to be, not that I really want to side with reddit on this issue, in a way that Bush and his gang were never dumb enough to do.
