Just had the biggest kick to my confidence that we can ever actually make a difference to this world. A few years back I worked on a project to try and get a source of truth that various groups could agree on, it meant building a map that worked basically anywhere. Phones, laptops, big projector screens. We built a 3d map that ran off a 30cm terrain model and imagery. It looked fucking awesome. Seriously the terrain model was detailed enough cars showed up in 3d. 1/n
