I drove for 500km to pick it up, but it was well worth. Look at this beautiful analog Italian #polysynth ๐Ÿ˜ A #Crumar #Bit99. With 6 voices, it is capable of beautiful warm pads and punchy bass sounds. I utterly love it. It is relatively obscure, but my gosh what SOUND you can get from it! The filters are just amazing! Made in Castelfidardo! #synth

Here is an article that describes well this very peculiar #synth #Crumar #Bit99 https://greatsynthesizers.com/en/review/crumar-bit-one-bit-99-bit-01-little-gems-of-expressivity/

@davbucci@mastodon.sdf.org I have the rack mount version. It's quite good, a unique character. Mine has a small problem that seems like it might be firmware, which spoils it slightly.

@davbucci@mastodon.sdf.org can't wait to hear it! Looks very cool! this era is so cool because it's when we start seeing digital control over analog stuff Also as a modular guy, it seems really funny to me that they have this complex diagram with little symbols and numbers, along with a couple simple buttons. By the mid-1980s, they REALLY wanted to avoid having old fashioned actual patch cables ๐Ÿ˜‚ Every generation of synths has such a characteristic vibe
