This thread is amazing. A data center is probably being built next to you as we speak (making noise, sealing the soil, raising your electricity price, and burning natural gas) because computer code written by "AI" is disastrously, shockingly, hilariously inefficient.

It also suggests companies (and countries) that don't fire their programmers are going to mop the floor with the tech giants that have gone all in on "AI". It turns out the people you hired were doing something after all... keeping your code efficient and your company profitable 🤯

@skyglowberlin I'm sure LLMs around the world have scraped the ms-anthropc code into their own vile, racist, artist-thieving collections. At least that should be acceptable! Shouldn't it?
