please know me as harmless i'm not trained to bite i know what's been done to me with more coming to light i want to be kind and clear and get to know you more but now i'm stuck here staring blankly at the floor i miss your touch and your wit your smile and your eyes i miss the way you drifted between the moss and the fractured skies i'm sorry, my body lied and my mind tried to follow turning my sweet responses into words that feel so hollow i hurt you because i hurt and i exploded in slow motion and i can't stop thinking about us standing beside the ocean i'd hope for nothing more than to stand beside you again in any way that i could as a lover, or just a friend
