windswept canvas I am in awe of your sheer expanse and beauty crests and troughs your eyes are a color that you did not ask for you mirror us so well you reflect something that is so much larger though you both cover one of you wraps the world in its blue hued arms you nestle into its depths both of you are shelter for things you can't perceive a delicate, fluid dance of barriers I cannot wait to see you again, to feel your moves see the glimmer in your eyes to sway with you brings me the greatest comfort and as I'm rocked to sleep I am cradled by the breath of the one you mirror and nurtured by your tides
