Morning friends, I've been holding off sharing this one until I was at least 90% happy with it. I'm now 90% happy with it lol. If this doesn't move you in some way, I'd suggest booking in with a technician and checking that you're not an AI construct lol. For those interested in the workflow for producing this track, read on. For those who just want to hear the song, go ahead. I wanted to produce a series of songs based on classical or public domain melodies, so the piano motif at the start of this track is a classical piece that, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of, but it's a favourite of mine, so if you can enlighten me I'd be most appreciative. So, to start, I played the melody on my keyboard using a piano voice and captured it using Reaper. I uploaded that audio to Suno. For the lyrics, I went to ChatGPT and selected the Song Writing Coach GPT. I knew vaguely what I wanted to write about. I knew it had to be about Tina Christian's childhood. I gave GPT the background it needed to help me out and asked it to come up with a first line. We then alternated lines until we'd completed a song. Then I went right back to the first line and altered all the GPT lines until the entire lyric was mine. If you struggle getting started with lyrics or even creative writing, this might be a workflow that can help you out. Just get GPT, or whatever is your LLM of choice, to get you started and alternate lines or paragraphs or whatever suits you. Then go back through the piece and change whatever you don't feel fits your vibe. Interestingly, the first generation that Suno produced was pretty much exactly how I imagined it would be. It's had several iterations over the last few weeks, but the basic vibe of the track has remained.
