Trump's continued harrassment of Greenland is more or less showing their hand: they're not actually climate change denialists behind closed doors. They're "realists", an ironic term for geopolitical analysts who frame all problems from the framework of nation-state competition. In this view of society, it matters less how much is destroyed and more who's left standing. From a "realist" perspective, the global south (and anyone not the hegemon) will bear most of the cost and burden of climate change, and that's the preferred outcome and they're fighting to keep it that way If they believed in climate change denialism, Greenland would be irrelevant. It's not, because they absolutely understand what's happening
