@maaikees@sw-development-is.social my previous job as a translator has been all but automated away by AI (my current job isn't safe either), and the industry was already well on its way before that. My colleagues were saying 'but we deliver better quality', which was and mostly still is true. But letting it burn won't work, as it's glaringly obvious that most companies don't care about quality. Customers will buy the product anyway. My colleagues know it, the IT people know it, but fear keeps their heads in the sand.
