Looking for device: is there a WiFi AP out there that has multiple radios where it can use one for clients and another dedicated 5ghz radio for meshing / uplinking to another AP?

@operative@mastodon.social ASUS ZenWifi devices can do that. I'm using two ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) at home connected with a dedicated 5 GHz wireless band which work quite well.

@operative@mastodon.social with OpenWrt, you can use any AP that has two or more radios and configure one as a client and one as an AP. If you need two 5GHz radios, the hardware list is a bit more limited though.

@operative@mastodon.social not directly an ap, but multiple pcie slots for wifi-modules. May be a hacky soloution, if there is nothing available https://www.apu-board.de/
