The US president is literally threatening war crimes ("possibly [destroy] all desalinization plants!"). Is this not the point at which all countries interested in maintaining international rule of law should take action? If we're sanctioning Russia, why aren't we also sanctioning the US? #politics #iran #eu

It's a horrible situation to be in. Many nations are highly dependent on US trade, tech, energy, finance/investment, and defense. The US also holds great power in international governance systems. At what point do we choose to do what's right, instead of what's practical and easy?

@Brendanjones US should have been sanctioned months ago - and, for certain, the World Cup and Olympic Games should be moved out of the US - it is a dangerous and lawless place. Move the games now for the safety of the athletes, their families and fans

  • @Brendan Jones tbf, Iran is also trying to do the same to Israel. But tb even more f, they absolutely should because Israel's very existence is a goddamn war crime.

@Brendanjones Considering the history of voting behavior of the US in the UN, the present can not be a surprise.

@Brendanjones turns out international law never existed, we were just punking Milosevich. The head judge was Ashton Kutcher the whole trial.
