a proposal:
spin up a claude agent that will take this codebase in chunks as context and rewrite it "clean-room" and launder it into an open source project licensed under GPL
do you think they'll be cool with that? Probably, right?

@zkat We will find out. Apparently at least 3 projects had the same idea. There is a flood of clones out there now.

@zkat keep in mind that they probably wouldn't be able to assert copyright over most of it anyways because it was dog-fooded so much (i.e. was written mostly by itself by now, which explains its horrible performance)
