@daringfireball@mastodon.social
Do many words to again say "I believe only supranational corporations are allowed to tell users what they can and cannot do with the devices they users own. Oh wait. Not own: lease, and use only within the arbitrary limits these corporations let them out of the goodness of their corporate hearts. Anyone saying that users should have choice on the devices is own is delusional because supranational corporations say so.
Also: expect more essays on icon choice"

@daringfireball@mastodon.social "User" and "choice" never cross @gruber@mastodon.social's mind. Unless it's 20 000+ words on how developers should have the freedom to use different shapes for icons on MacOS. He writes "Google designed Android for its own services" (true) and doesn't even for millisecond consider why it could be a bad thing and why government action is required. In his mind supranational corporations are always in the right and who can even dare question their actions? Except icons. Icons are important.
