The most confusing thing about the way Mannheim's Center is displayed on Google Maps (the roads between blocks get labelled as something like M4/M5) is that I can't imagine a scenario where this just emerged from the way Google Maps works. This means that this was someone's deliberate choice to portray Mannheim in this horribly confusing manner. And I would like to know what lead up to that decision...
