i too held this view until we hung out at our friend Britt’s house; Britt is the coolest most fashionable person we know and she’s published three books, and looking at her bookshelf i thought: if sorting your books by colour is good enough for Britt by god it’s good enough for me https://xoxo.zone/@mckern/116314968544466846

@phillmv Wow it's super cool that you could sort your books the only sane way - alphabetically by author then chronologically by date of publication - and still have them coincidentally match up colours like that

@phillmv My book seller's heart seized up a little, thinking about having to rearrange all of those shelves first by genre, then by author's last name. Then I remembered I don't work in retail anymore. 😬
