@levi 1) No "age verification" has been added to systemd 2) Liberated systemd exists for the sole purpose of making a statement. It isn't being maintained and is already 75 commits being systemd.

@levi "liberated systemd" is the biggest oxymoron I've seen from 2026 so far. We tried for years and years to warn big distro dwellers of the trap. Then we were laughed at for warning about IBM takeover of redhat (same company that fronted money to hitler for the tabulation machines used in genocide). It wasn't enough that microslop effectively owns the project now, they still refuse to admit to being caught in a trap and are beyond saving at this point.

@levi Age attestation would be a nice to have, as long as it was under the control of the user. I for one would really like to be able to tell random websites that I'm a minor. All these companies wanting to push liability onto others should have this used against them instead.

More alt text The 4 doors with the logos from freedesktop.org, systemd, ubuntu, and arch linux are open with blood which oozes from them into the hallway while the grim reaper labeled "useful idiot" with the likeness of Dylan M. Taylor knocks on the 5th door with a penguin on it called "Linux kernel"
