I am happy with the comments I get on the koth yuri zine. A lot of it is "I know 3 women just like this at work" or "that's just me and my friends" or "this is like my aunt". Some others are more like "I need [fem character] carnally]. All very good. They're interesting comments to me because I didn't change the characters at all. But it shows what I find fascinating yet infuritating about gender, and reiterates why I'm do a lot of genderbends. By re-telling the relationships with different pronouns and labels, and maybe a bigger boob or two, you see them in a different light. Characters and people are seen and treated differently if they are Women. Positively, negatively, parallel parking neutrally... Mostly I am happy to hear that readers know people like these characters IRL. That's the appeal of King Of The Hill right? Realistic, grounded characters that are wonderfully mediocre. And there's not a lot of weird middle-aged women let alone lesbians that are visible on TV. But so many people know weird middle aged lesbians IRL, or they're weird lesbians themselves! It's cool. It's nice that people comment on this gayass zine irl and online to tell me. I thinnnnnk mostly I like to see and explore "weird girls", aka "gorl scoutz" in my own fucked up vocab. Girls that are bad at makeup and hair, girls that don't dress fashionably, girls that don't have pointy chins and pouty lips and tiny noses. They're not cool or sexy or cute or pretty. They don't fit into the idea of what girls should be, whether its male or female gaze. Funny lookin and funny acting girls... Idk there's just a LOT of normal ass girls out there. It is cool to draw and write normal ass girls, and have normal ass girls tell you "hey i know a normal ass girl like that". Especially when girls and women are held to strange societal standards, whether they're seen as "lesser than" or having to perform "more than". Jerry shaking hands with himself dot gif. @scumsuck@blorbo.social i didn't say a lot but the zine really resonated with me. not just as a yuri fan but like, seeing how you depicted and interpreted these characters as lesbian women felt kind of... affirming, in a way? i could see myself in aspects of them. this sounds silly but idk i just loved it a lot

@scumsuck@blorbo.social "parallel parking neutrally" LOL I'm gonna remember that one. ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ‘ But yes, I'm happy I got your yuri QotH zine since you show women in such a variety of ways and that's unique! I feel like even in yuri spaces, you rarely see that many different women portrayed. I've seen enough skinny light skinned femme girls in high school by this point, let's see the full spectrum now! God knows when you spent even a little bit of time in IRL WLW spaces, you can see the whole gamut and it's beautiful to witness. On that note, if you (or anyone else reading this) could share your info regarding dee/tom couples or anything related, plz let me know. ๐Ÿ™ I had not heard of those terms before, but when I tried to do some research online I could not find much. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ
