When it comes to like old vs. new tech or whatever, for me, it's not necessarily that old is better even if that is sometimes the case, it's more-so what often gets touted as innovative and modern was really just some tech-bro libertarian's bullshit project. An example I feel particularly passionate about is Netflix and the rise of streaming services, and how it ended up watering down, homogenizing, or just straight up killed a lot of interesting tv shows and movies - in service of Cocomelon for adults. While not exactly the same thing, I felt similarly about the transition from the DS to the Switch, where before you could produce games relatively quickly and for relatively cheap. And this gave space for the likes of Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, etc. But it's all dead now. - But if you want an obvious example of pointless tech and fake convenience, have you ever been to a restaurant that had some kind of iPad system? And they had to come back to your table to repeat your order like 5 times because something in their stupid system was screwed up? But then you return sometime later and they've started taking people's orders, and get this, on a pen and a notepad? Woah!!! And not once was there an issue with your order? Wow!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88eAN4_KnU4
