I really, really need people to understand some things in the fight for feminism, queer rights, and equality:
1) The patriarchy is the problem. If you are upset about this statement, you need to self-reflect and read up on some progressive lit to internalize what this means and what the patriarchy actually is.
2) "MRA" branding is patriarchal alignment. It's a movement that is inherently anti-feminist and aligns with things like the man-o-sphere. You cannot be an MRA AND a feminist.
3) Women and minorities are allowed to have our own spaces to talk about how the patriarchy affects us without someone coming in and saying "what about men?"
4) Men ARE affected by the patriarchy in a negative way as well. Feminism is *the answer* to that problem. Feminism fights for equality for everyone and elimination of toxic masculinity.
Any time someone hops into a conversation to say "not all men/what about men," they're just derailing the conversation and the cause.
