Yesterday we had a moment that reminded me that biking builds community connections. While biking home from the farmers market, I saw what looked like a wallet on the street. We stopped &amp; found the owner’s address on their drivers license. Fortunately they still live there so we were able to return it directly to them. This little gesture saved this person a huge amount of worry and work. This is what biking has given me - the ability to notice and to act. #BikeTooter

@kimu@wandering.shop that's the real stuff right there I think I've seen a couple of "stuff fell out of my bag" and "left my wallet" somewhere things from other people in, like, the last week or two. It is just such a fraught thing to have to sort out so it is so great to have the opportunity to help someone that way. (which is repeating what you've already said so I'm emphasizing/agreeing/basking-in-the-goodness)

@kimu@wandering.shop Great story thanks for sharing. Similar to your experience I found an iPhone in the street and quickly stopped to pick it up. Smashed up a bit but it still worked so I called the emergency contact. The owner was so grateful being a new mom recently giving birth and had many photos of her baby not backed up. I biked to her location returning the phone. No way car drivers would have noticed. #bikeTooter

@kimu@wandering.shop Our tax advisor cycles everywhere, doesn't own a car at all. He's found and returned four lost wallets over the years, for the same reason: cycling lets him really see things!

@kimu@wandering.shop a while ago i found an iphone in the street, was locked. fortunately the owner's adult child tried calling the owner and i answered. the phone was shortly picked up by the child.
