AI ist taking junior dev jobs they say. Juniors are the future seniors, so there will be a lack of seniors someday.
Fair enough. Still, the way bigger impact on the industry might be the loss of seniors who are not willing to play that AI game. IT has already been unattractive for years. There is a good chance seniors will simply quit. Not all, but plenty.
We then end up with mediocre humans and machines with a huge knowledge deficit.

btw: I am saying this as a pro LLM guy. I simply just disagree with a claimed industrial revolution based on sophisticated math. If we had real AI, everyone would have to fear for their jobs, not only those that deal with patterns, may it be text, audio or video.
