(Translated from my German thread)
I find it difficult to have deep relationships with men, whether platonic or romantic. It's hard for me to trust men, to see them as complete, emotionally available people. That sounds tough, but of course there are quite a few reasons for that.
From assaults that I have experienced, toxic relationships, emotional violence or this situation where men in an emerging friendship suddenly no longer talk to you when they realise that you are sexually not interested in them, to not doing the emotional work of a friendship or relationship so that it all falls back to you.

Nevertheless, I find it important for me personally to try to open up more again, to become more vulnerable, more trusting (as long as I can set my limits of course), because I am convinced that we need everyone to abolish patriarchy, and because thanks to my queer environment i also know that the problem is not gender itself but the power dynamics and behaviour. 2/x
